Buildable Islands

Due to the irregular shapes and sizes of the islands, one cannot make a perfect use of them. Most of the space will probably be taken by Habitats. At the beginning, the player only has basic Habitats with a size of 4x4 spaces. At a higher level the player can build big Habitats, which require 6x6 spaces. Since the current limit of buildable Habitats was 56 at level 58, the first four islands were not enough - so Social Point added two new islands: Desert Island and Skull Island.

Update(20 Sep 2014): 3 new islands were added to the game: Rainbow Island, Ice Island and Gothic Island. However, the Rainbow and Ice Islands do not display until you have purchased all available space on the first six islands. The Gothic Island appears after you have purchased all available space on the Rainbow Island. After these three islands were added, Social Point increased the maximum number of habitats to 70.

Update(22 June 2016): 3 new islands were added to the game: Rune Island, Future Island and Moon Island. However, the Moon Island only displays after you bought Rune Island. After these three islands were added, Social Point increased the maximum number of habitats to 120.

10th birthday: 3 new islands were added to the game: Tempest Island, Jurassic Island, Chronos Island.

Expansions

Expanding is a primary Dragon City game mechanic. It allows the player to acquire more building space by purchasing building space with gold or gems (purchasing with gold recommended), known as expansions:

Social Items

Figures randomly appear on the islands. When clicking on them you are able to share them on your wall on facebook. When players click on them you will both recieve Gold or Food.
