Gold
Gold is the Currency in the game. It is earned by:
- Collecting from your dragons' habitats.
- Selling items, dragons, or dragon eggs.
- Winning it in the Monday Reward.
- Winning it in the Deus Daily Bonus.
- Collecting in the Dragon Market, where you can collect food or gold and hire your Dragon City friends to increase the amount that you get.
- Winning a tournament at the Stadium, which will give you gems as well as gold for winning.
- Accepting gold from your friends
As you expand your Dragon City, you will find that each expansion will cost 10,000 gold extra every section. All in all there are 4 islands available to get in Dragon City. The 3rd and 4th islands cost gems to unlock and then you have to spend gold to unlock the 8 expansion areas.
Your primary source of income is from the dragons in your habitats. Below is the formula to calculate gold production rate of your dragons:
