The Arena is a player-vs-player (PvP) combat area where you choose three dragons to battle another player three dragons. Arenas have certain rules on which dragons can be used, which elements are boosted or what dragon types receive a health or attack boost. There are some which might have penalties such as reduced combat or health. Some arenas may also have a dragon level requirement.

A progress bar at the bottom of the main screen shows how many battle rounds can be done. The number of rounds will decrease by 1 for every battle. After each round is used, a 30-minute timer begins for it to fill up. This means you can have 6 combats within 30 minutes, and you need to wait for 2.5 hours for it to completely refill. However, you can begin a battle if at least one round is available, you don't need to wait for the full bar to fill.

If some dragons survived a round, they can continue to the next battle. However, if a dragon is defeated, they become tired, and a cooldown period is required for that dragon and it's unable to battle until the cooldown is over. The rarer the dragon, the longer if needs to rest.

As you win battles, you receive trophies. A specific number of trophies move you up to the next arena, however as you lose battles, you lose trophies so can drop back down to a lower arena. Every dragon you defeat adds to a warrior chest progress bar, allowing you claim it once you have defeated 20 dragons. The warriors chest will dragon a random reward of dragon orbs and habitat tokens. The type of warrior chest is dependent on what arena level you are currently at. Every time you reach a new arena level you receive a dragon reward as a once-off.
